M.B. Miller County Pier Fishing

7.9· Pier · Panama City Beach, FL

Fee to fish: Daily fishing pass required; parking paid separately by app (checked Sep 27, 2026)

M.B. Miller County Pier is Bay County's 1,500-foot Gulf pier on Front Beach Road in Panama City Beach, open around the clock all year. Its length puts you over clear, deep water for king mackerel, cobia and Spanish mackerel from spring into fall, while pompano, redfish, flounder and Gulf whiting feed along the bars nearer the beach, and hardtails fill the sabikis for bait. Fish a moving tide in green water, live bait off the end and spoons along the rails. A small daily pass covers fishing, there is a bait and tackle shop with rod rentals at the pier, and parking is paid by the hour or the day through a phone app, free for Bay County residents with a permit. Everything is cashless. Hazards are summer lightning, strong sun, crowded rails in a run and big fish on heavy tackle.
