Best fishing spots in Mobile

Mobile anglers can fish the top of the bay without leaving the city. Arlington Park, about 3 miles away off South Broad Street, has a long walking pier over the marsh to the open bay, where croaker, white trout, catfish and black drum bite most of the year and speckled trout and redfish arrive in a dry fall. Dog River Park, also about 3 miles off, is a busy city launch with a grassy bank for trout, reds and croaker when the river runs salty.

Across the water, Chocalotta Ramp on the Causeway, about 6 miles east, is a state launch where redfish, trout and flounder push up from the bay in fall.
