Best fishing spots in Jacksonville Beach

Jacksonville Beach Pier is about 1.5 miles from town and the obvious place to start. Whiting, Spanish mackerel, bluefish and king mackerel are all caught there, so a pier session can mean anything from bottom fishing to chasing mackerel.

Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park, around 7.5 miles away, is a beach spot for whiting, redfish, pompano and bluefish. Huguenot Park Jetty, about 9 miles off, is the choice for redfish, black drum and sheepshead. If redfish are your target, the park and the jetty are both worth the drive.
