Kennedy Point Park is a Brevard County river park in south Titusville where a paved shoreline walkway with benches runs along the Indian River Lagoon beside a two-lane boat ramp, and the county lists it for shoreline fishing. The walkway lets you fish the lagoon from solid footing, and the breakwater running north from it, which shelters the ramp basin and the marina beside it, gives fish something to hold on. Spotted seatrout, redfish and black drum are the regulars, with sheepshead around the structure in the cooler months and jacks, ladyfish and the odd snook in summer and fall. Live shrimp under a popping cork and soft plastics are the standards. The lagoon has almost no tide here, so fish the wind. There are restrooms, a pavilion and a large parking area. Keep clear of boats at the ramp and watch for lightning.
