Rotary Riverfront Park is a small Brevard County park on the Indian River Lagoon in south Titusville whose main draw for anglers is a straight fishing pier with a shaded platform at its end. The pier gets you out over the shallow lagoon, away from the bank, to fish grass edges and sandy potholes for spotted seatrout, redfish and black drum, with sheepshead in the cooler months and jacks, ladyfish and the occasional snook in summer and fall. Live shrimp under a popping cork and soft plastics are the local standards. There is almost no tide this far up the lagoon, so wind-driven water movement is what switches the fish on. The park has restrooms, a playground and pavilions. Watch for summer lightning, and give manatees and dolphins room.
