Sewall's Point Park Fishing
5.5· Backwater· Sewall's Point, FL
Sewall's Point Park is a small town park on the Indian River Lagoon side of the Sewall's Point peninsula, with a playground, covered picnic tables and a little lagoon-side beach. Local tourism pages say it is a good spot to fish, launch a kayak or just sit by the water. There is no pier, so anglers work the sand and the grassy shoreline on foot, casting soft plastics and live shrimp for seatrout, jacks and the odd snook on a rising tide. The lagoon is shallow and barely tidal, so wind and the nearby Stuart Causeway current matter more than the moon. The town does not list fishing rules we could read, so check the signs. Watch for boat wakes, sun and summer storms.
