St. Andrews State Park Jetty Fishing

7.8· Jetty · Lower Grand Lagoon, FL

Fee to fish: State park entrance fee per vehicle; lower fee on foot/bike (checked Sep 27, 2026)

The jetty at St. Andrews State Park lines the west side of St. Andrews Pass, the inlet between St. Andrews Bay and the Gulf at the east end of Panama City Beach. Every tide pushes bay and Gulf water past the rocks and through the deep channel, so sheepshead, redfish, flounder and black drum hold here, with Spanish mackerel, bluefish, pompano and little tunny passing in season. Fish the moving tide with shrimp, fiddler crabs, jigs and spoons. The park is open 8 a.m. to sundown, charges an entrance fee and has restrooms, outdoor showers and a camp store that sells bait and tackle. The rocks are uneven and slick, the current at the tip is strong and boat traffic in the pass is heavy.
