Sebastian Inlet North Jetty Fishing

Fee to fish: State park entrance fee per vehicle at the north entrance (checked Sep 27, 2026)

The north jetty at Sebastian Inlet State Park, on the Brevard County side of the inlet, is one of Florida's most famous shore fishing spots: a railed catwalk that reaches out past the surf line into the inlet mouth, on the side of the park that stays open around the clock. It is the place for snook and redfish on the outgoing tide, bluefish, Spanish mackerel, jacks and tarpon during the fall mullet run, and pompano and whiting from the beach north of it in winter and spring. The Sebastian Inlet District rebuilt part of the jetty in 2025, and the bridge replacement that began in June 2026 has closed part of the north parking lot until 2032. Expect crowds, a state park entrance fee, fast current, boat traffic and wet, slippery surfaces.
