Also called Hudson Beach

Robert J. Strickland Memorial Park, known locally as Hudson Beach, is a small county park at the end of Clark Street in Hudson with a sandy swimming beach, a seawall walkway and a boardwalk along the Gulf. Anglers fish from the seawall and the point at the south end, away from the swim area, for speckled trout, redfish and sheepshead, with Spanish mackerel, ladyfish and jacks in summer and snook along the rocks and canal mouths. Fish the moving tide early or late in the day; the park is open sunrise to sunset. Hudson was flooded by Idalia and again by Helene's surge in 2024, but the county lists the park's restrooms, shelters, boardwalk and fishing access today. Hazards are summer lightning, slippery seawall edges and boats running the canal to the ramp.
