Best fishing spots in Magnolia Springs

Magnolia Springs is about 3 miles from the Weeks Bay Reserve Fishing Pier, a short daylight pier where the Fish River opens into Weeks Bay. The water swings from fresh to fairly salty with the rain, so flounder, redfish and speckled trout bite when the salt pushes up, and bass and bream take over after heavy rain. A bull minnow on the bottom is the flounder bait.

The Launch at CR 6, about 7 miles southeast on the Bon Secour River, has two free fishing piers for trout, reds, white trout and croakers. Mullet Point Park, about 8 miles west on Mobile Bay, has a short pier and a ramp in a quiet county park.
