Lowdermilk Park Fishing

6.1· Beach · Naples, FL

Free: No entry fee; parking needs a beach permit or metered payment (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Lowdermilk Park is one of the City of Naples' main beachfront parks, on Gulf Shore Boulevard North, with white sand, restrooms, showers, a beach grill and pay-by-space parking right behind the beach. It is a popular swimming beach, so anglers fish it at first light and in the evening, casting along the first trough for snook in summer, pompano and whiting from late fall into spring, and Spanish mackerel, jacks and ladyfish whenever bait runs the beach. City rules allow fishing from a park beach except where signs prohibit it, and you should keep well clear of swimmers. The park is open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., and parking needs a beach permit or payment. Watch for stingrays in the shallows, rip currents on windy days and summer lightning.
