Domino Park Boat Ramp Fishing

5.8· Pier · Hillsborough County, FL

Free: No fee to fish; separate charge to launch a boat (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Domino Park Boat Ramp is a small Hillsborough County launch on Mill Bayou in Ruskin, a tidal backwater of the Little Manatee River between the US 41 and Interstate 75 bridges. Besides its single-lane ramp, the county lists a fishing pier, which gives shore anglers a quiet place to fish the lower river. The brackish water holds snook and redfish along the mangrove and marsh edges, trout, jacks and ladyfish when bait moves up with the tide, and sheepshead and black drum around pilings in the cooler months. Fish a moving tide with live shrimp or small soft plastics. The site is open sunrise to sunset, the only fee listed is for launching a boat, and there are no restrooms. The water gets very shallow at low tide. Keep clear of boats using the ramp, and do not wade: the county prohibits it.
