Glascock Beach Fishing

6.0· Beach · Ocean Breeze, FL

Glascock Beach is Martin County's northernmost beach access on Hutchinson Island, at 4775 NE Ocean Boulevard where A1A meets the St. Lucie County line, north of the Jensen Beach Causeway. The county's park finder lists fishing here, and its tourism office pitches the beach for fishing, surfing, shelling and long walks. An access road runs east from A1A to an unpaved parking area, and a path leads through the trees to open surf where pompano, whiting and bluefish run in the cooler months and snook, jacks and tarpon follow the fall mullet. The beach is open at all hours under county rules, but it lies within 1,000 yards of Jensen Beach Park, so shark fishing is banned. Expect two tides a day, no lifeguards and rip currents.
