George Crady Bridge Fishing Pier

7.5· Bridge · Nassau County, FL

Fee to fish: Small per-person state park fee, paid at an honor box (checked Sep 27, 2026)

The George Crady Bridge Fishing Pier is the old State Road A1A bridge across Nassau Sound, kept as a pedestrian fishing pier and a state park between Amelia Island and Big Talbot Island. It is famous for whiting and seatrout, redfish and black drum, flounder and sheepshead, with bluefish, Spanish mackerel, jacks and tarpon passing through the sound. The bridge can no longer be walked end to end: the middle and the Duval County end are closed, so fish the section reached from Amelia Island State Park in Nassau County. Nassau Sound has big tides of around five to six feet and fierce current. There is a small per-person fee, hours are 8 a.m. to sunset with no night fishing, and the park can close to arrivals when full.
