Anchorage Park, North Palm Beach Fishing

6.8· Pier · Lake Park, FL

Free: No parking fee listed for the park (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Anchorage Park is a 21.5-acre Village of North Palm Beach park on the village's tidal canals, which run out to Lake Worth Creek and the Lake Worth Lagoon, with two fishing piers, a kayak and paddleboard launch and outdoor restrooms. The village holds its Kids Fishing Derby here, and its fishing tournament, based at the park, names trout, sheepshead and snapper as the inshore targets. Expect mangrove snapper and snook through the warm months, sheepshead, black drum and the odd seatrout in the cooler months, and jacks and catfish much of the year. Fish the moving tide with live shrimp on light tackle, and fiddler crabs for sheepshead. The park is open sunrise to sunset. Its boat ramp and boat storage are for village residents only; the village lists no such limit on the piers. Watch for boat traffic and summer lightning.
