Ocean Reef Park Fishing

6.0· Beach · Palm Beach Shores, FL

Free: Free entry and parking (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Ocean Reef Park is a compact Palm Beach County beach park on Singer Island in Riviera Beach, free to enter and park at, with restrooms, outdoor showers and an ADA beach mat. Surf anglers set up on the open sand beyond the guarded swimming area. From late fall into spring the targets are pompano, whiting and bluefish; snook, jacks and Spanish mackerel turn up whenever bait moves along the island, and the fall mullet run is the peak. Go early with sand fleas, clam or shrimp on a pompano rig, or walk the beach at first light casting a bucktail for snook. If the ocean is too rough, drive a short way south to the sheltered lagoon at Phil Foster Park, under the Blue Heron Bridge. Hours are sunrise to sunset. Rip currents and summer lightning are the hazards here, and swimmers need your lines kept well away.
