Bryant Park (Lake Worth Beach) Fishing

6.8· Backwater · Lake Worth Beach, FL

Bryant Park is a City of Lake Worth Beach park on the Lake Worth Lagoon just south of the west end of the Lake Avenue bridge to the beach, with a fishing pier made up of three platforms coming off a spit of land, a band shell and a boat ramp. The lagoon here is tidal, fairly clear and full of bait, and anglers catch snook, mangrove snapper, sheepshead, crevalle jack and black drum, with tarpon and ladyfish in the warm months and occasional pompano and spotted seatrout. Fish the tide changes with live shrimp or pilchards near the pilings, and fiddler crabs for winter sheepshead. By city code the pier keeps the park's hours, sunrise to sunset, and fishing from the Lake Avenue bridge itself is banned. The park has restrooms, picnic tables and grills. Watch for boat traffic from the ramp and for summer lightning.
