Lantana Bridge (Sportsman's Park) Fishing

7.1· Pier · Lantana, FL

Free: No fee to fish; metered parking on site (checked Sep 27, 2026)

The Town of Lantana's fishing pier runs beneath the west end of the East Ocean Avenue bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway, linking Sportsman's Park with Bicentennial Park, and by town code both parks stay open 24 hours for fishing from the pier and the seawalls. The bridge pilings and the deep channel of the Lake Worth Lagoon, a few miles north of the Boynton Inlet, hold snook, mangrove snapper, sheepshead, jacks and black drum, with tarpon rolling at night and pompano running the channel in winter. Fish the tide changes, and the night shadow lines under the bridge for snook. There are three fish cleaning stations and a small metered lot beside the park. It is a comfortable, level spot, but the current is strong and boat traffic is steady, so watch your line and your footing.
