Anclote Gulf Park Pier Fishing

6.8· Pier · Tarpon Springs, FL

Free: No parking fee; paid parking only at county's boat ramps (checked Sep 27, 2026)

The fishing pier at Anclote Gulf Park in Holiday is a long county pier running out along a channel edge over the grass flats north of the Anclote River mouth, with Anclote Key on the horizon. It is a reliable spot for sheepshead, speckled trout and mangrove snapper, with Spanish mackerel, ladyfish and jacks in the warm months, redfish and snook along the edges and cobia passing in spring. Moving water on the rising tide fishes best. The park has restrooms, a playground, shelters, a kayak launch and a boardwalk to Key Vista Nature Park, and no parking fee is listed. The county's page gives no hours for the pier, so check the posted times before planning an early or late session. Watch for summer lightning and crowded decks.
