Coffee Pot Bayou Shoreline Path Fishing
5.8· Seawall· St. Petersburg, FL
Coffee Pot Bayou Shoreline Path is a sidewalk along the west side of the bayou in St. Petersburg's Old Northeast, beside Coffee Pot Park and a public boat ramp. A travel guide calls the wide path a favorite with walkers, joggers, bikers and fishermen. The water is a tidal, mangrove-lined bayou off Tampa Bay, with seawalls and dock pilings that hold mangrove snapper, snook and seatrout. Fish a moving tide with live shrimp and small baits, casting along the wall. There is a mapped parking lot at the ramp. The city does not list fishing rules for the path, so read the signs. Expect walkers, bikes and boat-trailer traffic.
