Nature Park, Redington Shores Fishing

5.9· Pier · Redington Shores, FL

Also called Del Bello Park

Nature Park, formerly Del Bello Park, is a small Town of Redington Shores nature refuge on the bay side of Gulf Boulevard, with a dock the town describes as being for fishing the Intracoastal waters, a kayak launch, benches and two small pavilions. It is a quiet, local spot to fish the Intracoastal Waterway behind the barrier island: sheepshead and black drum around the dock in the cooler months, mangrove snapper in summer, and spotted seatrout, snook and redfish along the edges on moving water. Tides are small and mixed, two uneven highs and lows most days, so fish either side of a change. The town closes its parks from sunset to sunrise, but its code lets police allow anglers who are on the dock and fishing to stay after dark. No restrooms are listed at the park. Mind passing boats.
