Blind Pass Beach Park, Manasota Key Fishing

6.6· Beach · Englewood, FL

Free: No parking fee listed by the county (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Blind Pass Beach Park is a quiet Sarasota County park on Manasota Key near Englewood, with a Gulf beach for surf fishing and a canoe and kayak launch onto the calmer water of Lemon Bay. On the Gulf side, summer is snook season in the trough, late fall into spring belongs to pompano and Gulf whiting, Spanish mackerel, ladyfish and jacks come through with the moving bait, and blacktip sharks move in close on warm nights. The best starts are at first light on a rising tide, with the Gulf calm and clear. Storm repairs to the park's amenities are due to finish by 2027, but parking, restrooms and the beach accesses are open, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Rip currents and stingrays are the hazards, and the first thunder means time to go.
