Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Park Fishing

6.5· Flats · Englewood, FL

Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Park is a small Charlotte County boat-ramp park on the east shore of Lemon Bay in Englewood, off McCall Road, and fishing is among the amenities the county lists. In front of it lie the shallow grass flats that make Lemon Bay a seatrout and redfish bay, with snook along the shoreline in the warm months, sheepshead and black drum in winter, and ladyfish, jacks and mangrove snapper when bait is in. Cast soft plastics or live shrimp under a popping cork over the grass on a moving tide, best early. The park reopened in May 2025 after hurricane damage, but its kayak launch is still closed and parts of the boarding pier, the restroom building and the pavilions are still awaiting repair. It is open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Keep clear of the ramp and shuffle your feet if you wade.
