Millville Waterfront Park Fishing

Free: Free entry to this city park (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Millville Waterfront Park is a free City of Panama City park on Watson Bayou, an arm of St. Andrew Bay in the old Millville neighborhood, largely finished in July 2026 around a fishing pier that dates from 2013. Two public piers reach out from the park paths, and the city lists fishing among the park's features. The bayou holds speckled trout and redfish most of the year, sheepshead and black drum around the pilings in the cooler months, mangrove snapper in summer and flounder in fall. Shrimp under a cork, a soft plastic or a crab on the bottom by the pilings covers it. Tides here are small, usually one high and one low a day, so moving water matters more than the chart. The park is open from dawn until dusk, and boats from the marinas and the shipyard share the bayou.
