Crescent Beach Family Park Fishing

5.6· Beach · Fort Myers Beach, FL

Crescent Beach Family Park is a small Lee County beach park at the foot of the Matanzas Pass Bridge on Fort Myers Beach, with about 400 feet of Gulf beach, and it reopened on July 29, 2026 after renovation work. With the Fort Myers Beach Pier next door still being rebuilt, it is a handy place to cast into the Gulf in the middle of town. Surf anglers take snook in the trough in summer, pompano and whiting from fall to spring, Spanish mackerel, ladyfish and jacks on the bait runs, and blacktip sharks in the warm months. Fish early, on a rising tide, with shrimp, sand fleas or small jigs. The park has restrooms, showers and pavilions but almost no parking, so plan to arrive by trolley or on foot. Watch for swimmers, stingrays and summer lightning.
