Rosen Park is a City of Cape Coral boat-ramp park on the saltwater Chantry Canal, which runs out to the Caloosahatchee River north of the Midpoint Bridge, and the city lists its seawall as an approved fishing location open 24 hours. It is canal fishing, simple and close to the car: snook tuck along the seawalls and under the docks, especially on cool winter nights, with mangrove snapper, sheepshead, jacks, ladyfish and small tarpon in the canal and the odd redfish or black drum. Fish slowly along the wall with live shrimp or small soft plastics, working the moving tide. The park has restrooms, picnic pavilions with grills and a boardwalk, and car parking is free. Boats use the two ramps and the rental slips all day, so keep clear, and watch for lightning in summer.
