Sirenia Vista Park is an 8-acre City of Cape Coral nature park on the North Spreader Waterway at the city's western edge, where a kayak launch leads out to the Calusa Blueway through Matlacha, and the city lists its shoreline as an approved fishing spot in daylight hours. It is best known for manatees, which gather here from November to February, but the saltwater edges also hold snook, redfish, spotted seatrout and mangrove snapper, with jacks, ladyfish and small tarpon in the warm months and sheepshead in winter. Fish the moving tide with live shrimp or light soft plastics along the mangroves and the channel edge, and never cast near manatees. Parking is free for cars, the park has restrooms and a kayak launch, and fishing is daylight only. Bring insect repellent, and watch for summer lightning.
