Twin Rivers Park is a Martin County park in the Port Salerno area, with a fishing pier on the tidal water where the St. Lucie River meets the Indian River Lagoon, a short run west of the St. Lucie Inlet. Inlet water keeps it lively: snook are the main target, with mangrove snapper, sheepshead and black drum around structure, and spotted seatrout, redfish, jacks and ladyfish moving along the shoreline. Fish moving water, especially the incoming tide, which brings clearer water from the inlet. The park has restrooms, a pavilion, picnic areas and trails through scrub where gopher tortoises live, and the county lists it as wheelchair-accessible. Watch for boat traffic, summer lightning and dark runoff after heavy rain.
