Adams Cut, the Marvin D. Adams Waterway, is a man-made channel at about mile marker 104 that joins Largo Sound on the ocean side to Blackwater Sound on the bay side, and a small bridge on the Overseas Heritage Trail crosses it beside Anglers Park. Anglers fish the moving water around the span and along the banks for mangrove snapper, snook, tarpon and jacks, and the Fishbrain log for the waterway lists snapper, grunts, jacks and triggerfish. Fish the tide changes with live shrimp or pilchards on light spinning gear, and expect the current to run hard through the narrow cut. Parking and bank access are listed by Fishbrain users, but the managing agency does not publish a fishing page, so read the posted signs. Watch boat traffic in the channel.
