No Name Key Bridge is the concrete road bridge over Bogie Channel that links Big Pine Key to quiet No Name Key, about three and a half miles off US 1 in the Lower Keys. It is a favorite with local shore anglers because the channel carries strong tidal current between the backcountry and the Atlantic side, and fish stack up along the bridge shadow. Mangrove snapper, jacks and barracuda bite most of the year, tarpon roll under the bridge from spring into summer, and nurse and lemon sharks patrol at night. Fish live shrimp or pinfish on the moving tide, especially around dusk. Traffic is light but real, the Key deer here must never be fed, and there are no facilities, so bring water. Watch for lightning and slippery footing at the bridge ends.
