Burt Reynolds Park is a large Palm Beach County park on U.S. 1 in Jupiter with about 2,000 feet of Intracoastal Waterway frontage beside the U.S. 1 bridge, a short way inside the Jupiter Inlet. Anglers fish the waterfront for snook, mangrove snapper and jacks through most of the year, sheepshead and black drum in winter, and tarpon that roll through the channel in summer and fall, when clean inlet water pushes in on the incoming tide. Fish the moving tide with live shrimp, pilchards or swimbaits, and fiddler crabs for sheepshead around hard structure. The park has restrooms, picnic shelters, a fish cleaning station and the separately run River Center, and it is open sunrise to sunset. It is also a big boat ramp park with six ramps, so keep clear of launching boats, and watch for strong currents and summer lightning.
