Carlin Park Fishing

6.3· Beach · Jupiter Inlet Colony, FL

Free: Free entry and parking (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Carlin Park is a 109-acre Palm Beach County park on A1A in Jupiter, fronting a long run of open Atlantic beach, and both entry and parking are free. There is plenty of sand outside the guarded swimming area to spread out on. Late fall into spring is pompano, whiting and bluefish time; summer and the fall mullet run, when bait packs the wash, bring snook, jacks and the odd tarpon, and Spanish mackerel pass on clean water after cold fronts. Start early on a rising tide with sand fleas, shrimp or a pompano jig, or roam the beach at first light with a bucktail for snook. Restrooms, outdoor showers and 26 family picnic shelters make a long day comfortable, and the park keeps sunrise-to-sunset hours. Rip currents and summer lightning are the dangers, and swimmers stay inside the flags, so keep your lines out of there.
