Floridatown Park Fishing

5.7· Pier · Santa Rosa County, FL

Free: Free park entry (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Floridatown Park is a free Santa Rosa County park at 3900 Floridatown Road in Pace, on the eastern shore of Escambia Bay near the mouth of the Escambia River, with a 92-foot pier, a shallow-water boat ramp, pavilions and restrooms. The upper bay is brackish and changes with the river, so it suits redfish, speckled trout, flounder, croaker and black drum, with big schools of mullet and plenty of catfish, and freshwater fish after heavy rain. Fish live shrimp or cut mullet on the bottom, or a cork rig on a moving tide, early and late in the day. The park is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the ramp stays open around the clock for fishermen. A new living shoreline of rock and plantings was finished along the park's shore in June 2026. The pier sits beside the boat ramp, the water is shallow, and summer lightning is the main hazard.
