Fee to fish: State park entrance fee per vehicle or per person (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Faver-Dykes State Park lies on the north bank of Pellicer Creek on the outskirts of St. Augustine, and the park describes the creek as one of the most pristine estuarine tidal marshes on Florida's east coast, a mix of fresh and salt water. Its fishing dock, a short walk from the picnic area and listed among the park's accessible amenities, is where the park says red drum, black drum, sheepshead, spotted seatrout and the occasional snook are caught. Live shrimp under a float or on a light bottom rig works best while the tide is moving. The park is open from 8 a.m. to sundown with a $5 per-vehicle fee paid at an honor box, and it has restrooms, pavilions, a campground, a small-boat ramp and trails. Expect a slow, peaceful place with deer, otters and hawks for company rather than a busy fishing hole.
