Ross Point Park, Holly Hill Fishing
5.8· Pier· Holly Hill, FL
Ross Point Park is a small riverfront park at 611 Riverside Drive in Holly Hill, on the Halifax River, with a fishing pier and picnic benches beside the Halifax River Trail. It sits about half a mile south of Sunrise Park, the city's larger fishing park. The managing body's page was not found, so this is a spot to read the signs at. The pier reaches over tidal Intracoastal water where sheepshead and black drum gather around the pilings in the cool months and redfish, spotted seatrout, mangrove snapper and jacks cruise the shoreline in warm weather. Live shrimp and fiddler crabs on light tackle cover most of it. Watch for boat wakes, slick boards and summer thunderstorms.
