Sickler Park, Daytona Beach Fishing
6.0· Pier· Holly Hill, FL
Sickler Park is a small City of Daytona Beach riverfront park tucked under the Seabreeze and Oakridge bridges, on the Halifax River stretch of the Intracoastal Waterway. The city lists a fishing pier here, plus a concrete seawall walk that was rebuilt after Hurricane Milton and reopened in early 2026. The bridge pilings and the deep edge beside them hold sheepshead and black drum in the cool months, and mangrove snapper, jacks and the odd redfish or flounder when the water is warm. Fish a moving tide with live shrimp or fiddler crabs, close to the structure. The park has parking but no restrooms, and the shaded spot under the bridges can be quiet and a little rough, so fish in daylight and keep your gear close. Check the posted hours and any pier closure notice before you load the car.
