Seabridge Riverfront Park Fishing

5.6· Pier · Ormond Beach, FL

Free: Free admission (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Seabridge Riverfront Park is a small, quaint Volusia County park on the Halifax River along John Anderson Drive on the north side of Ormond Beach, and the county itself calls it the perfect spot for an afternoon of fishing. A short shaded pier reaches out from the bank and a boardwalk winds south over the water, so you can work the shoreline without wading. Redfish and spotted seatrout are the regular targets, with black drum and sheepshead around the pilings in the cooler months and snapper, jacks and ladyfish in summer. A popping cork with live shrimp or a slow soft plastic covers most of it. The river barely rises and falls here, so wind direction and water clarity decide the day. Admission is free and the park is open from sunrise to sunset, but parking is limited to a few spaces. Summer storms are the main hazard.
