Free: Free city park and pier (checked Oct 17, 2026)
Orange Beach Waterfront Park is a free city park on Wolf Bay off Canal Road, and its 400-foot pier, rebuilt after Hurricane Sally and reopened at the end of 2022, is the city's own public pier on the Orange Beach back bays. The city built in touches for anglers: shallow-water reefs around the pier and recessed lighting to draw and hold fish, plus covered pavilions with seating along the walkway. In the brackish, sheltered bay you can expect speckled trout, redfish, flounder and croaker, with sheepshead and black drum around the pilings in the cooler months and plenty of pinfish and catfish for children. Light tackle and live shrimp are the way to fish it. The park has restrooms, picnic shelters and a playground. It closes for the Festival of Art each March, so check the city's hours before an early or late trip.
