Perdido Pass Seawall Fishing

8.1· Seawall· Orange Beach, AL

The Perdido Pass Seawall is a boardwalk of more than 1,000 feet along the west bank of Perdido Pass in Orange Beach, running from The Gulf restaurant south of the Perdido Pass Bridge, under the span, to the state docks on the north side. Rebuilt after Hurricane Sally and fully reopened in early 2024, it is a favorite with tourists and locals alike, and Marine Resources lists it as a public saltwater fishing access. Sheepshead crowd the pilings and rocks in late winter, bull redfish and flounder pour out through the pass in fall, and speckled trout, black drum and Spanish mackerel turn up much of the year. Fish close to the wall on a moving tide, when the current carries bait past it. Parking is in the lots right beside the boardwalk. The current is strong and boat traffic never stops, so keep children back from the edge.
