North 1st Street Beach Access, Cocoa Beach Fishing
5.5· Beach· Cocoa Beach, FL
North 1st Street is a Cocoa Beach street end east of A1A, a short walk from A1A, where the city's stub-end accesses offer metered parking and a dune crossover onto the Atlantic. The streets around it are lined with beach parking, so on weekends the beach itself fills up with swimmers and surfers, and anglers do better early or late. Surf reports from Cocoa Beach describe whiting, pompano, drum and sharks along the coast, with whiting and pompano the usual bottom-fishing targets and bluefish in the cooler months. The city does not list fishing at this street end, so it is a low-confidence spot: read the signs, avoid lifeguarded and swim areas, and do not count on restrooms. The pin is an estimate.
