Flagler Beach at South 14th Street Fishing
5.2· Beach· Flagler Beach, FL
South 14th Street is a dune walkover on State Road A1A in the middle of Flagler Beach's south side, beyond the swimmer-heavy blocks next to the pier. Anglers cross the boardwalk, pick a trough or cut in the sandbar and cast a bottom rig into the surf. Whiting and pompano are the regular catches, joined by bluefish and Spanish mackerel when bait is near the beach and by redfish and black drum on cut bait in cooler months. Parking is roadside only, and the city enforces no-parking zones along the dunes, so read the signs. The city does not list fishing here, so this is a low-confidence spot: read the posted signs and check that the walkover is open, since storms have damaged this stretch before. Rip currents, stingrays and fast A1A traffic are the hazards to watch.
