Norriego Point Park, Destin Fishing
6.7· Beach· Destin, FL
Norriego Point is the white-sand spit at the western tip of Holiday Isle, with Destin Harbor on one side and the East Pass channel on the other. The City of Destin reopened it in 2026 as a 14-acre park with dune walk-overs, a looping boardwalk, restrooms and showers. Local anglers fish the point from the sand and the harbor side for redfish, spotted seatrout, flounder, jacks and ladyfish, and the moving water of the pass pulls in bait and bigger fish through the year. Work the harbor edge on a falling tide with live shrimp or a soft plastic on a light jig head, and keep clear of the swimming coves on the pass side. Parking is paid, so read the sign. The main hazards are boat wakes and current in the pass.
