Gulf Front Park, Treasure Island Fishing

6.0· Beach · Treasure Island, FL

Free: No charge to fish; paid parking enforced (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Gulf Front Park at 104th Avenue is Treasure Island's busiest beach access, the doorway to the very wide mid-island beach between John's Pass and Blind Pass. The city gives it restrooms, outdoor showers and a mobility mat, which makes it a comfortable base for a surf rod, as long as you work around the swimmers. The long, flat shoreline holds Gulf kingfish in the troughs for much of the year, pompano on the spring and fall runs, snook along the wash in summer and Spanish mackerel, ladyfish and jacks when bait moves in. Tides are mixed with a small range. City code bans shark fishing and chumming on these beaches, and the beach is closed from 1 to 5 a.m.
