Halifax Harbor Marina Fishing Pier

6.3· Pier· South Daytona, FL

The fishing pier at Halifax Harbor Marina is a city-run, lighted pier on the Halifax River in Daytona Beach, built out beside the marina basin and its boat ramp. Daytona Beach's visitor bureau describes it as a lighted fishing spot with a fish-cleaning station, open to the public with plenty of parking. The city rebuilt a damaged 50-foot section of the pier, added a new handrail and cleaning station, and reopened it to the public in late 2025. Expect sheepshead around the pilings in the cooler months, spotted seatrout and flounder over the nearby grass and sand in spring and fall, and black drum, jacks and ladyfish on and off through the year. Fish a moving tide with live shrimp or fiddler crabs on a light rig. Watch for boat traffic at the basin and for summer lightning.
