Hiles Boulevard Beach Park Fishing

6.3· Beach · New Smyrna Beach, FL

Free: No entry fee; visitors pay a daily parking fee (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Hiles Boulevard Beach Park is Volusia County's big off-beach lot on the south side of New Smyrna Beach, with more than 230 spaces, a restroom building and outdoor showers across A1A from the Hiles Boulevard beach ramp. Cars are not allowed on this section of sand, so it suits anglers who want to spread out two or three rods without vehicles behind them. The surf gives whiting most of the year, pompano from late fall to spring, bluefish and redfish during the fall mullet run and Spanish mackerel on calm summer mornings, all on sand fleas, shrimp, clams or small spoons. Tides turn twice a day over a few feet of range. Visitors pay a daily parking fee, the lot closes to cars overnight, and rip currents, lightning and summer surfers are what to watch for.
