Dune Allen Regional Beach Access Fishing

6.4· Beach · Walton County, FL

Free: No fee listed for this beach lot (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Dune Allen Regional Beach Access is one of the Walton County Tourist Development Council's regional accesses, on western Scenic 30A a short way east of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, with a lot, ADA restrooms, a water fountain and an ADA boardwalk over the dunes to about 220 feet of beachfront. It is a pure surf spot: pompano and Gulf whiting cruise the first trough in spring and fall, redfish work the bar during the fall mullet run, and Spanish mackerel, bluefish, ladyfish and jacks show when bait crowds the shoreline in the warm months. Sand fleas or shrimp on a two-hook bottom rig take the trough fish, and a spoon handles the fast ones. Lifeguards watch this beach from March through October, so come at dawn or dusk. Walton County bans fishing for sharks and chumming from its beaches; rip currents, stingrays and lightning are the hazards.
