Ed Walline Regional Beach Access Fishing

6.5· Beach · Walton County, FL

Free: No fee listed for this beach access (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Ed Walline Regional Beach Access sits where County Road 393 meets Scenic 30A in Santa Rosa Beach, across the road from the shops and restaurants of Gulf Place, and it is one of Walton County's regional accesses to the Gulf between Topsail Hill and Grayton Beach. A boardwalk over the dunes, ADA restrooms, a parking lot, picnic shelters and a two-story viewing platform make it an easy base for a surf session. Anglers work the first trough for pompano and Gulf whiting in spring and fall, cast to the outer bar for redfish, and throw metal at Spanish mackerel and bluefish when bait crowds in. Lifeguards watch this beach from March through October and surfers turn out when a swell runs, so the quiet hours are early and late. Walton County bans shark fishing, chumming and bloodbaiting here; mind rip currents, stingrays and lightning.
