Fee to fish: Honor-box state park entrance fee per vehicle (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Eden Gardens State Park sits on Tucker Bayou at Point Washington, off the southeast corner of Choctawhatchee Bay, and the park allows saltwater fishing from its dock and seawall in the grounds of the historic 1897 Wesley House. It is quiet, shallow backwater fishing: speckled trout and redfish along the edges, flounder near the seawall, sheepshead and black drum around the dock pilings, and croaker and white trout in the cooler months. Fish live shrimp under a popping cork or a soft plastic on a light jig head, and fiddler crabs tight to the pilings in spring. The park is open 8 a.m. to sunset with an honor-box fee, restrooms and shaded picnic pavilions. Tides are tiny inside the bay, so wind and rain move the water more than the moon does; keep an eye on summer thunderstorms.
