North Beach Boulevard follows the west shore of the Bay of St. Louis north from Old Town, and along its seawall the road runs right beside the water. The City of Bay St. Louis points the public to this seawall as a place to fish and to crab, so it pays to bring a crab net as well as a rod. The brackish bay gives speckled trout, white trout, redfish and flounder from spring through fall, with sheepshead and black drum in the colder months, and blue crabs all summer. Fish shrimp under a cork or on the bottom on a moving tide, and set a crab net beside you. There is no lot of its own, so park only where it is allowed and watch the traffic behind you.
