Lee Koplin Sun-n-Sand Park Fishing
5.7· Harbor· Biloxi, MS
Free: Free and open to the public, according to the city and county (checked Oct 17, 2026)
Lee Koplin Sun-n-Sand Park is a free public launch park on the Mississippi Sound in west Biloxi, off US 90 across from the Treasure Bay Casino, opened in 2023 by the City of Biloxi and Harrison County with two boat launches and a 40-space lot for cars and trailers. Neither the city nor the county lists fishing here, but anglers fish from the edges of the launch basin, whose sheltering arms reach a little deeper water than the open beach; read the signs. Expect speckled and white trout, croaker and flounder, with redfish and sheepshead around the structure and ground mullet off the sand. Live shrimp under a cork or a bottom rig with shrimp covers most of it. The Sound here is shallow and often murky, and wind sets the water level more than the small tide. Boats come first at the ramps, and summer storms arrive fast.
